The Kastelaz trail links St. Jakob in Tramin with the Obergasse in Kurtatsch: about 7.6 km (around 1.5 h, 300 m of climbing) on an easy forest road through shady broadleaf woods. Along the way there are play stations (swings, for example) and legends that primary-school kids from Tramin and Kurtatsch wrote and drew in 2025 – the booklet is a free PDF. Come back on the quiet panorama road via Rungg (about 1 h) or by bus (lines 122 or 130). The tourism board calls it ideal for families.
