A family-run mountain hut at 1,530 m between the Maria Weissenstein pilgrimage church, the Bletterbach gorge and the Weisshorn – a lovely spot for eating and playing. In front of the house there's a big meadow with tipis and a sweat lodge, a herb spiral with a little pond, ant hills, and animals such as sheep and rabbits. On the way there's a stream where kids love building dams. On the menu: classic South Tyrolean dishes, homemade cakes and desserts. From the big car park at Maria Weissenstein (1,520 m; arrive early on public holidays) the wide forest road no. 2 takes you to the hut in 35–40 minutes, stroller included; it's 4.8 km and about 1 h 30 min there and back, with 141 m of climbing. According to the Eggental tourist board it's open daily except Wednesday 10:00–17:00 until 25 Oct (hot food 11:30–16:00), then closed from 26 Oct to 25 Dec 2026.
